Sharing this sparkling white sangria with friends is the ideal way to enjoy a delicious, fruity, and visually stunning beverage.
This sparkling white sangria is another summertime favorite that tastes great all year long.
I have a copy of this recipe in my bar, but it originally came from my mother’s kitchen. We like to share “winner” drink recipes with each other.
We’re not sure which magazine it came from, but we both agree that it did. Whatever the case, we’ve had this tear-out on hand for a very long time.
Orange, peach, lemon, lime, and grapes are just a few of the fresh fruits that add citrusy undertones, fruity flavor, and a tinge of sweetness.
I’ll soon be posting some notes and advice on how to make white sparkling sangria. Just tryin’ to be helpful.

Sparkling White Sangria
This white sangria is pretty and festive with sparkling wine and fresh fruit — ideal for a party!
Total: 15min
Yield: 4
Serving size, calories, fat, carbohydrate, protein, saturated fat, unsaturated fat, sugar, fiber, sodium, and cholesterol are included in the nutritional information.
Ingredients:
- 1 ounce (2 tablespoons) brandy or cognac
- 1 ounce (2 tablespoons) orange liqueur, such as Grand Marnier
- ⅓ cup superfine sugar (see note)
- 1 orange, halved
- 2 limes
- Peeled and chopped one small apple, such as a Fuji or Honeycrisp
- 1 nectarine, chopped
- 1 chilled bottle of champagne, prosecco, or other sparkling wine
- 1 cup lemon-lime soda, such as Sprite
- A few bunches frozen grapes
Instruction:
- Combine the brandy, orange liqueur, and sugar in a sizable pitcher. Juice one lime and one orange half and pour it into the pitcher. Stir until the sugar dissolves. Add the remaining orange half, thinly sliced, to the pitcher after which you’ll put chopped apples and nectarines. A sizable bunch of frozen grapes, sparkling wine, and lemon-lime soda should be added. Place small bunches of frozen grapes and ice cubes in glasses; do not place them in the pitcher as they will dilute the beverage. Then, pour sangria over the top. Pour chopped fruit into glasses, add lime slices as a garnish if you’d like, and serve.
- Note: Superfine sugar dissolves much faster than regular sugar. It is available at most supermarkets. The sangria produced by this recipe is fairly sweet; if you prefer it dry, use less sugar.

How to Make Sparkling Sangria
FAQ
What white wine is best for sangria?
Your best bets when selecting a white wine for your sangria are crisp, fresh, dryer, more acidic whites like Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon Blanc, Vermentino, or Grenache Blanc. An Albariño, Moscato, or rosé would be nice too. Additionally, we adhere to the principle “pour any Paso Robles wine you like”
Should sangria be fizzy?
Sangria should fizz, so a carbonated beverage of some sort is typically added to the mixture to give it some bubbles. Sangria is frequently made with popular carbonated drinks like soda water, seltzer water, or even flavored soda.
What is bubbly sangria?
The longer the fruit soaks, the more the sangria will absorb. Sparkling Red Sangria is made with your favorite red wine, a splash of orange liqueur, small bites of fresh fruit, and bubbles.
Can you mix champagne and white wine?
A satisfying cocktail with a solid foundation and a sparkling finish can be made by combining champagne and wine. But mixing champagne with fruit juices like cranberry juice is frequently more popular.
