- APPLE PIE FILLING::
- I used Granny Smith apples, which I peeled and chopped into cubes.
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/8 cup cornstarch
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1/8 tsp nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- pinch of salt
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- CHIMICHANGAS:
- 4 small flour tortillas
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 tbsp cinnamon
- 4-5 tsp Caramel Sauce
- 1/4 cup Vegetable Oil
Instruction:
- Peel the apples, cut them into cubes and set aside.
- In a saucepan, combine the water, sugar, salt, lemon juice, cinnamon, vanilla extract, nutmeg, and cornstarch. Stir well. Cook for a short period of time (about 3 minutes) on medium heat while stirring occasionally.
- Add the apples when the mixture begins to thicken, and cook for about 10 minutes, or until the apples are soft. Remove from heat to cool for a few minutes.
- Put 1 teaspoon of caramel sauce on each tortilla, then spread it out in the center of the tortillas. Put the apple filling over caramel sauce. Close tortilla on both sides and roll it in chimichanga.
- Consolidate with a toothpick and fry briefly in hot oil. Rotate chimichanga on all sides to golden brown. Put on a towel to get rid of excess oil.
- Then drizzle the caramel sauce over the warm chimichanga after rolling it in a mixture of sugar and cinnamon.

- 1 cup water
- 1/4 cup corn starch
- 1 cup granulated sugar, divided
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon, divided

- Preheat air fryer to 400 degrees F.
- In a small saucepan, combine the water and cornstarch and whisk until there are no lumps. - 6 teaspoons butter
- 6 teaspoons cinnamon sugar
- 1 can of apple pie filling
Instruction:
- One teaspoon of butter should be melted in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add 1 flour tortilla, and cook until both sides are just lightly browned.
- Remove the tortilla and immediately sprinkle 1 teaspoon of cinnamon sugar on one side of it.
- Place two heaping tablespoons of apple pie filling in the center of the tortilla dusted with cinnamon and sugar.
- To make your wrap, fold the top and bottom of the tortilla first, followed by the sides.
