If you watched my “How to Use a Ninja Coffee Bar” video, then you know how much I LOVE the coffee maker.
But something that a lot of you Ninja Coffee Bar owners and I struggled with, was that the pesky “clean” light would stay off for a split second, but then it would come back on and stay on.

And like a shy little girl, I responded with “um.. vinegar?” Hoping she wouldn’t reprimand me for using a household item instead of some fancy cleaner that they recommend.
But she didn’t! She just simply continued on with the instructions of how to clean the Ninja with white vinegar.

UPDATE: I’ve been on the hunt for a coffee machine descaler solution (cleaning solution) to use instead of vinegar and water, to see if it works better.
Well, I’m happy to say that I’ve found one that (based on the reviews) works SOOO much better than vinegar and water, to help keep that “clean” light off! I’ll be trying this myself so I can keep you posted on it too!

After the process of descaling the Ninja Coffee Bar, there will be a sign flashing “Flush” on the clock timer screen. Fill the reservoir again, and this time do not use any descaling solution. Just regular water will do. Tap the “Clean” button. Do not press and hold! A simple tap will start the flushing process.
Can you use white vinegar to clean a ninja coffee bar?
Yes! If you’d rather not buy a specific cleaning solution, you can substitute white vinegar. For the Ninja Coffee Bar, pour white vinegar into the water reservoir up to the Travel Mug line, which is 16 ounces. Then fill it to the max line with water.
How often should you clean a ninja coffee bar?
Ninja Coffee Bar Cleaning Instructions. It’s recommended that you clean your coffee bar every couple of months, but it’s definitely time to clean when the Ninja Coffee Bar clean light comes on.
Can You descale a ninja coffee bar?
Your Ninja Coffee Bar user manual says you can descale with a commercial solution or white vinegar and water. Many other manufacturers advise against vinegar. That’s because white vinegar contains 5-8% acetic acid. This type of acid can wear down metal and cause your brewer to leak.
