As a ranch fanatic who has been fiercely loyal to one brand since childhood, I wasnt expecting these results.
The Classic and Southern are the same, but the creamy ranch has buttermilk powder and some other ingredients like lactose, malic acid, and carrageenan (the latter to hold it together since buttermilk powder thins out in a weird way)… the flavor is much milder than the classic/southern because of the buttermilk powder …
Unlike any other ranch I tasted, I loved this one’s subtle but apparent kick from garlic, which lent the tiniest bit of heat without making me feel like I was chomping on a clove of garlic. It’s not nearly as garlicky as a Caesar dressing, if you feel me, but just garlicky enough to add lots of unique flavor.
Overall score for Wish-Bone: 5/10
A very acceptable non-refrigerated dressing, Wish-Bones stab at ranch impressed me, offering lots of flavor and a floral, peppery bite…even if it was lacking in richness the slightest bit.
