Vancouver, Wash. – May 31, 2011 – Papa Murphy’s International is now offering Thailand’s distinctive flavors with the launch of its newest take ‘n’ bake pizza – Thai Chicken deLITE. Beginning with a cracker-thin crust, the pizza is topped with sweet chili sauce, 100 percent real mozzarella cheese, zucchini, grilled chicken, a mix of white, red and green onions, and finished with a dusting of crushed red pepper flakes. Price and participation varies nationwide.
“The sweetness of the chili sauce, the heat of the red pepper flakes and the creaminess of the mozzarella converge with the grilled chicken and fresh, crunchy zucchini for a nice balance of flavors and textures,” said Carron Harris, VP of product development. “The new Thai Chicken deLITE performed very well in consumer testing, plus our franchise owners couldn’t wait to get it in their stores. All signs indicate this pizza should be another customer favorite!”
Thai Chicken deLITE joins a variety of others in the thin crust pizza line, including the Veggie, Herb Chicken Mediterranean and Chicken Bacon Artichoke deLITE Pizzas. The entire pizza line is now available in Papa Murphy’s 16-inch Family Size, each taking only 10 to 12 minutes to bake in customers’ home ovens.

As a working mother of four boys who play everything from football to golf, Ive often considered those places that allow you to prepare meals in advance for cooking at home the Holy Grail. I cook, but just enough to sustain life.
Around 9 p.m., round two of the family arrived and I had the 5-Meat Stuff and the Thai pie coming out of the oven for them, along with the rest of the salad. The stuffed pizza idea has always seemed like overkill to me but this one has the right idea. There are two layers, with red sauce, Canadian bacon, pepperoni, sausage, bacon and ground beef, as well as a medley of white cheeses and a thick, doughy edge.
But Papa Murphys tempted, so while various boys sweated at various fields, I went in and ordered some pies to go. The service is puppy-dog friendly, with four young ladies swinging into smiling action. One made a Thin Crust deLite ($8, large) with just cheese and pepperoni. Another whipped up a Gourmet Chicken Garlic ($12, large), one of the signature pies. There was something complicated called the 5-Meat Stuffed ($14) and finally, a Thai Chicken deLite ($10, large).
Although the chicken on the Thai pie was a bit chewy, the sweet chili sauce, slices of fresh zucchini, mixed onions and roasted red pepper flakes made this Moms favorite. Another plus? The price. For a large pizza with fresh, quality ingredients to cost less than $15 dollars? Thats more than convenient. Thats downright miraculous.
Enter Papa Murphys. I had heard a rumor that you could get a pretty good pizza – freshly made, good ingredients, ready to cook, with salads, all prepped and ready to go. I dismissed it as urban legend.
