Stovetop s’mores: If you have a gas range stovetop, you can roast the marshmallows over the stove like you would a campfire. Just be sure to be careful if the marshmallow gets too hot as they can ignite, and to turn the stove off when you’re done.

This method is best if you like charred marshmallows for smores.

1. You can cook smores over an electric or gas stove. But I dont think you could use an inversion stove. Now you learned how to make smores in the oven or over the stove.

2. Turn stove to high, wait until coils (if electric) are red hot or flame is consistent on a gas stove. Spear marshmallow with a fork to roast over stove. Roast until desired doneness.

3. Assemble by placing chocolate and desired toppings on graham crackers, place marshmallow on top and cover with 2nd graham cracker. Enjoy.

Store leftover graham crackers, chocolate, uncooked marshmallows, and additional toppings in air tight containers/bags. Cooked marshmallows wont hold over well, unfortunately.

  • Broil marshmallows on the 2nd highest rack for a golden brown or roast them on the stove (this can work with an electric coil or gas stove) for charred mallows. Its up to you!
  • Check marshmallows often because they can burn quickly.
  • If cooking over a stove, hold marshmallow about an inch from flame or coil for a very brown marshmallow, hold about 2 inches for a slower cooking marshmallow that gets lightly browned.
