It removes cooking odors better than any range hood I’ve owned, and I’ve had some very good range hoods. The combination of very quiet operation and extremely effective air movement makes the Broan BCDJ130SS the best range hood I’ve seen in my house or anywhere else. I had my old Broan for 26 years!

You dont have to worry about pushing the buttons in to the hood if you push too hard due to the touch buttons. The lights are nice and bright. The higher settings are a little loud, but thats to be expected if you want it to disperse more air. It was a little difficult to install the mounting screws though. I would recommend this to a friend

FYI….this range hood IS ventless or vented. Directions didnt really specify you could use as either or show how to make ventless You basically just unscrew 2 little metal cover plates off top. The electrician went to install & tried to tell us we bought wrong one or needed converter kit and went online to show him you could use as either. He said its new design & that since directions didnt say anything about removing plates, he put old one back up & he was going to leave. We called store & they explained what to do. Only took a few mins to remove metal covers to make ventless & reinstall. I replaced and over the range microwave with this hood, and it vents 100 % more efficiently than the microwaves vent. It is very ergonomic and intuitive to use. The LED lights are very bright and even at the lower setting. One lower or night light setting would be a nice addition. The exhaust fan is fairly quiet on the low setting and not so much on the high, but I would rather have a little noise for a short period of time than a kitchen that smells like Ive been cooking. In addition, it ventilates extremely well for its size and cfm !! I would recommend this to a friend

It is has a fairly quiet fan with 3 speeds, has a clean, bright light, and it looks great! Price is higher than other Broan range hoods, but so far, I think it was worth playing a little more for a higher quality range hood. This one was installed in my moms kitchen and I am getting another one for mine. I would recommend this to a friend

We are able to advise the following information regarding the filters from the installation instructions: The grease filters should be cleaned frequently. Use a warm dishwashing detergent solution. Grease filters are dishwasher safe. Clean all-metal filters in the dishwasher using a non-phosphate detergent. Discoloration of the filters may occur if using phosphate detergents, or as a result of local water conditions – but this will not affect filter performance. This discoloration is not covered by the warranty. To minimize or prevent discoloration, hand wash filters using a mild detergent. It was much cheaper on Amazon but Best Buy matched the price. It was a fairly easy install you do need two people to install mainly to hold it while you add some screws. The fan is quiet and powerful enough for us, the led light is plenty bright. We’re very happy with our fan I would recommend this to a friend
