How far in advance can I get a Honey Ham? I want to chomp on it for at least five days before I freeze it, but how long in advance of opening it can I go buy it? Any ideas?
I dont know what their expire date usually is. Im gonna treat myself to a HONEY HAM this year! I cant wait, but dont want to open it until Christmas Day or after. So I dont know when to go get one!
We accept online orders up to 20-days in advance and cannot process same day orders. You are welcome to walk-in to pick up orders same day. All HoneyBaked® locations will be closed on national holidays including Thanksgiving and Christmas.

@SoonerI dont know your answer, but if they come vacuum packed, you can do it now for sure.
I also dont know the rules for freezing ham, but if it were any other meat, Id wouldnt wait 5 days to freeze any of it. When I pretty much know Ill be freezing some, I freeze a chunk as soon as I can on the theory that the fresher it goes into the freeze, the better it will be when I take it out to use it.
Hopefully someone way more knowledeable about ham will answer you soon.
