Our Hidden Valley® Ranch was first bottled in 1954, when the HVR founder Steve Henson bought a Ranch (go figure) outside of Santa Barbara, California. There, he perfected his signature tangy dressing recipe which became an instant hit. Here’s how we put the seasoning back into a drizzle and dunk-worthy version of his OG showstopper. Pair it with vegetable sticks, wings, pita, chicken nuggets, crackers, breadsticks, pretzels, tortilla chips, or olives.

Hidden Valley Ranch dressing gets its tanginess from buttermilk. So if you want un-tangy dressing, you’ve got to leave that out. To prepare the dressing you mix the seasoning packet with buttermilk, add mayonnaise and stir to combine.
