This is the best detergent and the smell is good. Powder detergent is easier to dispense, less expensive and better for the environment. Powder detergent is in super-heavy-duty cardboard box, no plastic jug. There are no spills. Even if I did spill, it vacuums easily. I would never want to use a liquid detergent.

I have been using this for over 30 years and will never change. It cleans excellently! I have tried pods and other brands but always come back to tide powder with bleach.

They changed from the old bleach activator which they had a patent on to the one everyone else uses. Super lame.

I will admit that as a women Im on that time of the month and have stained a couple of items pretty bad. My normal detergent, powdered all free and clear, does an ok job but its not fool proof. I was looking for an additive to put in with my normal laundry that would brighten and get out the tough stains. Im really sensitive to fragrance and noticed that most additives had fragrance in them, but also came in such tiny amounts for the price. I decided to grab this tide with bleach to use in addition with my normal powdered detergent as it was a great price for the amount you get. As well using it this way prevents me from having to use it full strength which contributes to more fragrance in my laundry. I do double rinse with White Cleaning Vinegar in my rinse cycle to get any excess detergent out, and with this method the stains are eliminated better than ever, while my clothes are left odorless and my skin is left calm. I can say that my laundry room does smell quit strong when this box of tide is open, but that is my only complaint. It doesnt seem to transfer to my clothing at all.

Have used Tide With Bleach since it was introduced in the late 1980s and loved the performance as well as the fresh scent. I was also a big fan of the original Mountain Spring scent which was available for a while in the Tide With Bleach formula. Then the Mountain Spring variation was gone and ultimately the original scent was changed to something unbelievably harsh, chemical and way too long lasting on the finished laundry. Consequently I had to switch brands. I noticed that the packaging changed again so I tried another box. While I cant say I am particularly fond of this latest scent, at least it isnt as strong or headache inducing as the initial change. What I fail to understand is why it was necessary to change from the actual original fragrance. Not everyone needs “new scent technology” and I have no desire to constantly smell the results of my laundry or anyone elses for that matter. If something wasnt broken, why was it necessary to change it in the first place? There are more than enough detergents offered with overpowering scents (other Tide variants, Gain, etc..), so cant the rest of us just have something that smells clean and leaves a light scent on the laundry? Given the number of Tide products that are on every store shelf in the US, I dont think thats too much to ask.

Can no longer find the white box with the rainbow design. I bought this new blue box and before I got it home my entire car SMELLED HORRIBLE. STRONG CHEMICAL SMELL! Luckily I didnt open it and had my receipt….. IT WAS RETURNED!!! I will have to buy a different brand.

Tide has lost their mind! They changed the formula but kept the SKU the same. The one pictured above is the original, or older BETTER version. The new box is blue and has bubbles on it. It’s quite different. Why are they messing with it. Did they test market it? Nope. Just showed up on shelves. Powder cleans better than liquid in my opinion. Wish they wouldn’t have done this. Smells and cleans worse than the older version. Come on man, does anyone even read these? Does anyone care?

For years my family used powdered Tide as I got older I switched and used liquid Tide. It did the job but I tried powder detergent again and this product made all the difference. Itll take grease and the smell of diesel out and thats what sold me. Everytime you wash it keeps bringing out old stains. For blue collar workers this is hands down the gear detergent. It also cuts the cost on having to buy additional stain removing products. I buy in bulk and with powder I think its the most bang for the buck. Awesome product, I hope its never discontinued.

Yesterday I spent all day working on a friends vehicle. When I was done, my pants and shirt were a filthy, sweaty, grimy, ground in oil and brake fluid mess. I almost just pitched those clothes in the trash but decided I would go ahead and try washing them before I pitched them. When I took those clothes out of the dryer, I could not believe it, the Tide Bleach had completely removed all of those ground in stains and I was especially surprised that the oil and brake fluid were completely gone. I have used Tide Bleach for years but this experience just reinforces my faith in this product for just plain everyday laundry.

This is the best detergent to be developed in many many years !!! Not only does it thoroughly wash & get out any stains even ground in Little League baseball uniform pants, but the clothes come out of the dryer smelling beautifully and with no presoaking or dryer sheets…etc !!! Im a big fan of Tide laundry products and after trying the Tide Simply+ Bleach Alternative Liquid Laundry Detergent, Line Dry Fresh Scent Im reminded of exactly why! The concentrate means you need to use much less than other watered down brands which actually just mask odors and dont really even get your clothing cleaned at all!
