If you’re like me, you are always looking for new ways to switch up your weeknight dinner recipes. I love having quick and easy meals to turn to when I don’t want to think too much about dinner. I love this recipe because it feels so fancy and elevated but it’s actually so simple! Many of these ingredients are ones that you may already have in your pantry too. I like to keep the package of Argentinian shrimp from Trader Joe’s in my freezer for easy meals too.
This Honey Orange Shrimp is packed with flavor and perfect to make for an easy, elevated weeknight dinner.
How to make Honey Orange Shrimp:
- Make sure shrimp have defrosted first. Lightly season with salt and pepper.
- Start by sautéing the shrimp in a heated non stick pan with olive oil. Sauté shrimp on both sides until pink. Remove from the pan once cooked through.
- Prepare sauce in separate bowl by combining juice from oranges, honey, coconut aminos, minced garlic, ginger and sea salt.
- Allow the pan to slightly cool down for a minute and rinse out the pan. Another reason why the Caraway pans are the best here!!
- Add sauce to pan on medium to low heat. Continually stir. In small bowl, mix 1 tbsp arrowroot powder with 2 tbsp water. Pout into the pan with sauce recipe. Make sure pan isn’t too hot or it will get too thick!!
- Continue to stir the sauce as it begins to thicken. **Make sure to continue to stir as it will stick to the pan.
- Add cooked shrimp once sauce begins to thicken and coat it fully on the shrimp.
- Assemble bowls with jasmine rice, edamame and cucumber. Add honey orange shrimp on top.
- Top with cilantro and green onion.
- Enjoy!
