The machine fills up fast and above ordinary level and still it wont goto next cycle and drain, displaying a nf error which stands for a water filling failure… it does fill. Even over fill. I even have leaks due to water level. I have to power off the machine and force the spinning cycle for the water to drain.
When i go into forced spin cycle, the water drains easily but the cycle seems stuck. I have to stop the machine, shut down, power on again and go into the forced spin cycle again, for it to work and complete.

If water flows okay, check the inlet screens on the water inlet valve assembly. If the screens are clogged, replace the water inlet valve assembly rather than cleaning the screens. Cleaning could allow debris to enter the valves, resulting in the valves sticking open and causing a flood

Try shutting off power to the washer while the machine is filling with water. If the washer continues to fill with water even when it is not getting power, this indicates that the water inlet valve is defective. If the water inlet valve is defective, replace it.
The pressure switch shuts off power to the water inlet valve when the proper water level is reached. If the pressure switch fails, the water inlet valve will continue to fill the washer tub with water, causing the washer to overflow. Before replacing the pressure switch, check the air tube to the pressure switch to ensure that it is clear of debris and is not leaking.
The water pressure to the water inlet valve might be too low. The water inlet valve requires a minimum of 20 psi to shut off properly. If the water inlet valve does not get enough pressure, the valve may not close fully after the power is shut off. As a result, water can leak into the washer and cause it to overflow. Check the water pressure to determine if it is sufficient.
Im sorry to hear that didnt get the results you wanted. While it is possible to change default settings on some models using the SmartThings app, unfortunately, this model does not have this option. However, I do have something that may help some. Page 59 of the user manual (linked below) has a useful chart showing the available and default settings for each cycle.
