Construction chalk (also called plumber’s chalk) is used on a cord that is strung tight between two posts and then snapped against a surface to create a straight line. Chalk is comprised of calcium carbonate and contains an insoluble dye that is added for visibility. Often this dye is permanent and cannot be removed. The following instructions may remove it, but you should not guarantee removal to your customer.
Warning: Always test materials for colorfastness, follow label directions, and never mix products unless specified in the label directions. Each situation reacts differently and results may vary.
