According to a report by the San Francisco Chronicle, “The Domaine Curry brand will now be nestled within the Prisoner Wine Co. umbrella[owned by Constellation], which includes the brands the Prisoner, Saldo, Blindfold and Unshackled. Going forward, Domaine Curry wines will be produced by the Prisoner’s winemaker Chrissy Wittman, served at its tasting room in St. Helena and sold to its mailing list.”
Curry and Curry-Lee had been reportedly engaged in negotiations with Constellation since December of last year, as per Bukky Ekundayo, the Prisoner’s vice president and general manager. The former owners will remain involved in creative aspects of the brand, Ekundayo informed SF Chronicle. The price of the purchase has not been revealed to the public.
